[Welcome] [Story] [Targetted Audience] [Download] [Media] [Contact Us] Welcome to NetherforceNetherforce is a game developed by 6 students as a project in a course at Chalmers University of Technology in Spring 2007. We competed against several other games in the competition Swedish Game Awards, but unfortuanately we did not take it to the final. The game is currently not being developed further, but on request we can release the source. StoryNetherforce is a team based action game centered around each player controlling and developing a hero in the middle of an ongoing battle. On each side of the battlefield a citadel resides which fuels the battle with an endless supply of troops. The players divided in two teams each take control of a self designed hero. With a wide range of abilities and a low level of control over the allied forces close to him the player strives to turn and force the battle into the enemy citadel. Inside the fortification the citadel general resides, and killing him is the final objective of the game. Targetted Audience
We hope to gather players from a few different types of games. With the strong teamplay we hope to please a lot of social players that enjoy playing together facing other good teams online or simply playing agianst friends. With the fantasy theme and partial character development mmo players will probably find it to their liking. Just seeing your character get better thinking out different ways to plan skills even players from more action oriented RPG games such as diablo could like Netherforce. DownloadDownload NetherforceThe downloadable version offered here is what we demonstrated as our final product in the course Spelprojekt at Chalmers. It is not complete as we are missing some important gaming elements, and we haven't tested it enough to be sure there are no bugs left. We take no responsibility for what will happen if you decide to run it. Download ManualThe manual describes the core features of Netherforce such as how to start up the game, and how to play. Download ReportThe report is a group report written by the developers describing the developing process and details about the engine and game. MediaVideo
As we entered in the competition Swedish Game Awards, we made our self a video promoting our game. The video shows off our engine in action, with the troops
attacking each other, and heroes using their skills in order to master the enemy. The video can be seen here: ScreenshotsContact UsGame Related Questions
